We have stylists trained in four different methods so we can customize your extension installation to your specific goals and lifestyle.
Sewn in wefts are by far the most popular method as they are wonderful at giving you long and voluminous hair and are able to accommodate most lifestyles
In-Salon Maintenance
Weft maintenance is every 4-6 weeks. After initial installation, you will be able to do 1-2 mini move up appointments depending on your hair. Next, we would take the hair out and do a full reinstall and the cycle continues.
At Home Maintenance
- All extension hair needs to be oiled every night with a lightweight oil we will recommend.
- All extension hair should be braided every night to protect the hair from tangling.
- Use only a boar bristle brush or wet brush.
- Use only stylist recommended shampoo, conditioner, and styling products.
- A stylist recommended leave-in conditioner should always be applied to the hair before swimming as well as put into a braid.
- It is highly recommended to blow dry the hair as opposed to air dry.
- The spine of wefts needs to be blow dried completely any time the hair gets wet.

K-tips are individual groups of hair attached with heat by a keratin bond. The hair is able to move in a 360 degree motion, so it is perfect for someone who wears their hair up a lot or lives a very active lifestyle.
In-Salon Maintenance
K-tips do not require any maintenance for 3 months! At the 3 month mark, we would take out the K-tips and do another installation

* Tape maintenance is 5-6 weeks. At the 6 week we would take out the tapes, re-tape the adhesive and reapply.

How long does the hair last?
Hair for wefts, I-tips and tapes lasts 9-12 months depending on at home care and how often it is colored. K-tip hair is not reusable, and will only last 3 months after installation
Does the hair come in wavy or curly?
Most hair comes in both straight and wavy. If you have curly hair, we will perm the extensions to match your existing curl pattern.
Does the hair come in my color?
Bellami has over 50 shades of color! While it is not recommended to lighten the hair, we can tone the hair or color it slightly to provide the perfect match.
Will the extensions blend if I have really thick hair?
Yes! It is all about how many grams of hair we order. This will be discussed at the consultation to give you the perfect match.
How long does it take for the hair to be delivered to the salon?
Bellami offers 2 business day shipping so you can have the hair installed the same week you purchase!
Will we install other brands of hair?
In order to ensure quality, we will only install hair bought in-house.
How long will my installation appointment take?
This can vary by method, stylist and if you are also receiving a color service. Without a color service plan for about 3+ hours.
How long will the maintenance appointments take?
- Weft maintenance takes approximately 45 minutes.
- I-tip maintenance takes approximately 1 hour.
- Tape reinstall takes approximately 3 hours.
